Ty Johnson did very little on the ground in Week 8, but was active in the passing game.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson only received four carries and finished with 15 scoreless yards on the ground. Michael Carter continues to distance himself from Johnson, but Johnson has remained involved in the passing game. He had six targets, which was tied for third on the team. He finished with five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. While this was certainly a solid showing, fantasy managers shouldn’t expect the Jets to throw for over 400 yards and three scores most weeks. With Carter taking command of this backfield, it’s unlikely Johnson will carry this kind of value on a weekly basis. He’s best viewed as an RB4.
