Jets head coach Robert Saleh says tight end Tyler Conklin “is awesome” and “has been fantastic” in training camp according to the New York Post’s Brian Costello.
Fantasy Impact: Conklin shined in the Green & White Scrimmage on Saturday, hauling in seven total passes and scoring the starting offense’s only touchdown. Conklin continues to shine in training camp after the Jets inked him to a three-year, $21 million deal this off-season. The investment in the tight end position is paying off early as Conklin and quarterback Zach Wilson have reportedly developed a great rapport in camp. The Jets also brought in former Bengal tight end C.J. Uzomah, who combined with Conklin, figure to be the most potent 1-2 punch New York has had in some time, possibly ever, and could bring Jets tight ends back to fantasy relevance.
