Tyler Conklin caught 2-of-7 targets for nine yards in New York’s 27-22 loss to the Vikings in Week 13.
Fantasy Impact: Conklin was coming off a 50-yard week and his best performance in more than a month. Unfortunately, he could not make it two in a row and had just nine yards in a game where Mike White threw for 369 yards, making one looking at Conklin’s box score wonder if Zach Wilson was back under center. It is somewhat concerning that Conklin could not do more against a Vikings defense that ranks in the bottom third of the NFL against tight ends, but he still has two things going for him fantasy-wise. First off, tight end is a cesspool this season, even more so than usual, so his potential and lack of viable options maintain his relevance. Second, he still saw seven targets in Week 13 (tied for third on the team) behind only Garrett Wilson and Corey Davis and has had White throw his way 10 times in the past two games so he still has fantasy potential from volume there. Conklin isn’t the best option around, but he is far from the worst, especially if Mike White remains the Jets’ starter.
