Brian Costello of The New York Post suggests that a surprising strong spring has Tyler Kroft in the mix for the Jets starting tight end gig this year.
Fantasy Impact: “Kroft has been one of the bigger surprises of the spring,” Costello said. “He has seen a lot of time with the starting unit and…could beat out Chris Herndon for the job if Herndon does not shake out of the funk he was in last year.” The hype has been around Herndon in recent years, but it has not really panned into much production on the field. Kroft will have the opportunity to take the lead tight end role for this new look Jets offense if he continues to impress in training camp.
