Dolphins CB Xavien Howard, who did not attend minicamp, is present for training camp, via a video tweeted by Dolphins social media team.
Fantasy Impact: After not attending minicamp, Howard has arrived at training camp. He is reportedly upset with his contract after signing a five-year, $75.25 million extension with the Dolphins just two years ago. The All-Pro cornerback wants a new deal after his incredible 2020 campaign. Unfortunately for him, it doesn’t seem Miami is willing to negotiate. Trade buzz has been surrounding his name, but the Dolphins would reportedly need at least a first-round pick to trade him. Howard doesn’t have much leverage moving forward, as teams are no longer allowed to forgive fines for missing training camp days. For now, he’s in Miami, but stay tuned.
