Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Jets will report for training camp Tuesday but as of right now, first-round pick QB Zach Wilson remains unsigned.
Fantasy Impact: There should be little doubt that Wilson and the Jets will get a deal done sooner than later. It’s likely just the verbiage they are working on. Despite being an almost guarantee to start Week 1, Wilson has seemingly flown under the radar for fantasy purposes. The former BYU star is currently being drafted as the QB28 behind quarterbacks such as and Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill, both of which aren’t guaranteed start. The Jets went above and beyond in rebuilding the offense this off-season. The receiving corps has been reloaded, after adding Corey Davis, Keelan Cole and drafting former Ole Miss star Elijah Moore. Wilson is capable of making any throw. The only question is how he adapts to the speed of the NFL game. His ability to extend plays with his legs increases his fantasy value tremendously, which should excite fantasy managers. Wilson is a solid target in Superflex leagues, especially as a team’s QB3.
