Zack Moss did not play in the Bills’ preseason loss to Carolina.
Fantasy Impact: Moss not playing is significant when the Bills made it clear their intentions were to rest their starters. Last year was a tumultuous one for Moss from the beginning when he was a surprise healthy scratch in Week 1. He did not start a single game for Buffalo last season, but it appears as if the Bills still feel he can be a meaningful contributor for the team this season. This is impactful as not only could this mean Moss is worth a flier, but it also indicates that neither Devin Singletary nor James Cook should be considered the only weapons in Buffalo’s backfield. Moss relies heavily on TDs as he has not shown an aptitude for pass-catching and Cook is sure to put any hope of him emerging as a pass-catcher to rest. Moss should be viewed as an emergency streaming option this season if he is able to show boom potential through goal-line work.
