Za’Darius Smith and the Ravens have re-united. The two sides are in agreement on a five-year deal with a base value of $35 million and a max value of $50 million, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Fantasy Impact: Smith returns to the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2015 draft. He spent four years with the Ravens before taking his talents to Green Bay for an additional three seasons. During his time with the Packers, Smith made two Pro Bowls and was a Second-Team All-Pro. He played in just one game this past season due to injury, but he was impressive in 2020, racking up 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 52 tackles. He should make an instant impact on defense as the Ravens look to return to the playoff hunt in 2022.
