While speaking with the reporters Wednesday, Rams HC Sean McVay was asked about newly signed WR Allen Robinson and said “He’s a stud. I’ve been so impressed with just his overall professionalism day in and day out. McVay continued to rave about his impressive body control and smooth route running for a bigger WR.
Fantasy Impact: The Los Angeles Rams signed Robinson this offseason to play alongside superstar WR Cooper Kupp in the team’s high-powered passing attack. Robinson is in a position to likely be the number two receiving option in the Rams’ offense in 2022 after the team traded away WR Robert Woods and have yet to re-sign free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. as he recovers from a torn ACL. Despite dealing with poor QB play throughout his career, Robinson has finished as a WR1 three separate times in his career in PPR formats. Robinson had a surprisingly disappointing 2021 season with the Bears where he played in 12 games but only hauled in 38 receptions for 410 yards and 1 TD (all career lows). Robinson will get a long-awaited QB upgrade in 2022 as he’ll be receiving passes from Super Bowl Champion Matthew Stafford, a change that gives fantasy managers hope that he will be able to bounce back from a down 2021 season.
