Antonio Gibson carried the ball 14 times for 58 yards and added seven catches for another 72 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Gibson returned to his past form in Week 1, managing to prove he is still capable of being the Commanders’ lead back while Brian Robinson Jr. remains on the IR. Gibson’s 4.1 YPC was very respectable, but the best sign for the third-year running back was his ability to be a factor in the passing game. Gibson tied his career high in catches with seven, and his chemistry with Carson Wentz was clear. Gibson cemented himself as the clear starter for the Commanders, for the time being, and will have a good matchup against the Lions in Week 2, a team that allowed the Eagles to rush for four TDs in Week 1.
