Christian McCaffrey rushed 18 times for 94 yards and one touchdown in San Francisco’s Week 8 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He additionally caught 8-of-9 targets for 55 yards and one touchdown, to go with a 34-yard passing touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: McCaffrey became the first player since 2005 to throw, rush, and catch a touchdown in the same game. After seeing just eight carries and two targets last week in his debut as a 49er, the team clearly made a point to get him more actively involved this week, especially with Deebo Samuel sidelined. He was highly efficient running the ball, and even threw a perfect 34-yard touchdown dart to Brandon Aiyuk early in the second frame. McCaffrey will rest up during San Francisco’s Week 9 bye, and then take on a leaky Chargers defense for Week 10, where he’ll serve as an elite RB1 for fantasy purposes.
