FanDuel Dollar Menu – Week 16 Value Picks
QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick ($7,400 CIN @ MIA)
Ryan Fitzpatrick has made The Dollar Menu again this week after putting up over 20 FanDuel points in week 15 and averaging over 22 during his last four games. This week brings another favorable matchup as the Bengals 29th ranked defense visits Miami. Fitzpatrick has averaged 39 attempts while throwing seven touchdowns and running for one during this four-game stretch. With the depleted Dolphins backfield and struggling running game, this pass-heavy trend should continue this week, giving Fitzpatrick ample opportunities to post solid numbers again.
Additional Value Pick: Philip Rivers ($7,500, OAK @ LAC) may be playing his final home game as a Charger. The Raiders have the 27th ranked pass defense and allow the second-most FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks. This game sets up nicely for Rivers and his pass catchers to have a big game and they are priced relatively low.
RB: Adrian Peterson ($6,500, NYG @ WAS)
Adrian Peterson resumed his lead back role against the very stout Eagles run defense in week 15 and scored an impressive 16.6 FanDuel points. He has now scored a touchdown in three straight games going into a week 16 contest against the Giants and their 25th ranked defense. Peterson will likely be heavily relied on in this favorable matchup, receiving 15-20 touches and likely scoring double-digit FanDuel points for a fourth consecutive week.
RB: DeAndre Washington ($5,600, OAK @ LAC)
DeAndre Washington filled in for the injured Josh Jacobs in week 14 and performed well, turning 20 touches into 96 yards, a touchdown, and 18.6 FanDuel points. With Jacobs ruled out for week 16, Washington is set to be the lead back for the Raiders again against a Chargers defense that allows almost 23 FanDuel points per game to opposing running backs. Washington will be heavily involved in the Raiders offense and is a deal at $5,600.
Additional Value Pick: Kareem Hunt ($6,100, BAL @ CLE) has scored double-digit FanDuel points in every game but one this season. He has done most of his damage as a receiver and will be counted on to again this week against the Ravens. I expect the Browns to be playing from behind, giving Hunt extra receiving opportunities.
WR: D.J. Moore ($6,600, CAR @ IND)
D.J. Moore will be catching passes from his third quarterback of the season on Sunday, as Will Grier is primed to make his first career start. It hasn’t really mattered who was throwing the ball or who the opponent is much this season, Moore has been consistently productive. He has double-digit FanDuel points in 11 of his 14 games, most recently catching eight passes for 113 yards. I expect the rookie quarterback Grier to look Moore’s way often, giving Moore another productive day against the league’s 21st ranked pass defense.
WR: Keenan Allen ($6,700, OAK @ LAC)
Keenan Allen has consistently been producing in the last five weeks, totaling 36 catches and scoring 10.8 or more FanDuel points in each game. It’s somewhat odd that he is priced this low at home against the Raiders and the NFL’s 27th ranked pass defense. As stated previously, I expect Philip Rivers and all of his primary pass catchers to have big games this week, making Allen a great value and the duo a great QB/WR stack play.
Additional Value Pick: Terry McLaurin ($6,500, NYG @ WAS) and Dwayne Haskins have been on the same page for back to back weeks now resulting in 187 yards and two touchdowns for the rookie receiver. The Giants pass defense has struggled this season and is now without Janoris Jenkins, setting up the potential for a big day for the speedy McLaurin.
TE: Jacob Hollister ($5,700, ARI @ SEA)
The struggle of the Cardinals to stop opposing tight ends this season is well documented. They have been atrocious all year and Jacob Hollister has developed into a solid receiving threat for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. The suspension of Josh Gordon could also result in additional opportunities for Hollister this week. He is a solid option at $5,700.
Additional Value Pick: Kaden Smith ($5,100 NYG @ WAS) appears to be in line to finish the season as the Giants starting tight end. Evan Engram is now on IR and Rhett Ellison has missed multiple games with a concussion, clearing the way for Smith. He has 10 or more FanDuel points in two of his last four games and the Redskins give up 11.5 FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends, which is 5th worst in the NFL.
DEF: Ravens ($4,500 @ CLE)
The Ravens defense was embarrassed by the Browns early in the season and will likely be out for redemption this week. They have been great during the second half of the season and are now averaging over 13 FanDuel points per game over their last eight. The Browns offense has not been good this year and will likely be playing from behind on Sunday.
Additional Value Pick: Redskins ($3,800 vs NYG) The Redskins defense has been surprisingly productive over the last four weeks and is averaging 10.5 FanDuel points per game during that stretch. They get to host the 25th ranked offense of the Giants and are priced very low. If you need a defense under $4,000 this week, the Redskins are a solid pick.
