Rashaad Penny reportedly slimmed down to 223 pounds and feels “way faster” at Seahawks camp.
Fantasy Impact: “I’m the lightest I’ve ever been. I honestly feel like I’m back in high school again,” Penny said. The former first-round pick has struggled mightily with injuries early in his career, playing a total of 27 games in the first three seasons of his career so far. Penny said it was his goal to lose weight this offseason. “That was definitely part of the goal, to lose weight and to be effective,” Penny said. “I felt the lighter I am, the more explosive I can be.” He remains the No. 2 running back on the Seahawks depth chart behind Chris Carson and can potentially fit the new offense being ran by offensive coordinator Shane Waldron much better than he did in the Seahawks old offense under Brian Schottenheimer. He can potentially remain the change-of-pace back to Carson, spelling him when need be.
