Drew Lock to start preseason opener

Drew Lock to start at quarterback for the Denver Broncos preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Fantasy Impact: Following Tuesday’s practice, Broncos HC Vic Fangio announced that Lock would start over Teddy Bridgewater to start the preseason. Bridgewater will start for the second preseason game against the Seahawks. Lock is getting the first start because he is a returning player, Fangio continues to claim that neither quarterback is gaining any separation from the other, calling the QB competition “Even Steven”. Even with the offensive weapons in Denver, neither of these quarterbacks should be viewed as a fantasy option for single quarterback leagues. While in SuperFlex leagues, neither is more than a bye-week fill-in.
