This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 13, but our FanDuel picks will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
With that being said, these are my Week 13 FanDuel picks with the most value.
[Week 13: More daily fantasy football help.]
QB: Kirk Cousins ($7,600, MIN @ NE)
The Minnesota Vikings paid Kirk Cousins a large sum of money to help them win big games just like he did in Week 12. The Vikings signal caller had an incredibly efficient day against the division rival Packers, completing over 75% of his passes on his way to 342 yards, three TDs, and 27.4 FanDuel Points.
Now he and the Vikings talented offense travel to Foxborough to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots in another big game. A win here is necessary for the Vikings to try to keep pace with the Bears in the division or secure a wild card spot in the NFC. Cousins is averaging over 20 FanDuel points per game and the Patriots have the 25th ranked pass defense in the league, recently allowing Marcus Mariota to score 22 FanDuel points. Cousins should take this opportunity to show that he is worth the price that the Vikings paid making him worth his $7,600 price tag in FanDuel contests.
Additional FanDuel Pick: Lamar Jackson ($7,500, BAL @ ATL) is averaging 19.5 FanDuel points in his first two career starts. He now gets the opportunity to face the 28th ranked defense of the Atlanta Falcons that have struggled to slow down anyone this season. Jackson could easily surpass his starting average in this contest, making him an intriguing play at $7,500.
RB: Austin Ekeler ($5,400, LAC @ PIT)
Melvin Gordon is averaging right at 23 FanDuel points per game this season but he has already been ruled out for Week 13 and likely beyond with an MCL sprain. That means that Austin Ekeler will have some big shoes to fill beginning this Sunday night in Pittsburgh.
Ekeler has shown brilliant flashes over the past two seasons that have made him an incredibly effective player with a small amount of touches. He is coming off of his most productive game of the year, where he scored 21.3 FanDuel points against the Cardinals. He now faces a tougher Steelers defense but the increase in workload makes him the biggest value of the week at $5,400.
RB: Dalvin Cook ($6,200, MIN @ NE)
Dalvin Cook has been hampered by injuries for much of his young career. The talented back appears to be healthier than he has all season and it was reflected in his numbers from last week’s game. He posted a season best 15.1 FanDuel points and was very effective as a receiver for Kirk Cousins. That trend should continue this week as the Vikings take on New England’s 22nd ranked defense while trying to outscore Tom Brady and the Patriots offense. Cook should receive 15+ touches and produce a solid FanDuel statline.
Additional FanDuel Pick: T.J. Yeldon ($4,800 IND @ JAC) will likely see a large increase in his usage on Sunday with Leonard Fournette suspended. The Jaguars brought in Carlos Hyde, who will likely also get a fair share of work but Yeldon is the superior option for the passing game. He should be a solid checkdown option for Cody Kessler in his first start, making Yeldon a great value at $4,800.
WR: D.J. Moore ($6,400, CAR @ TB)
Carolina receiver D.J. Moore has handled the transition to the NFL very well. The rookie has proved himself worthy of the first-round pick that the Panthers used on him this year and with Devin Funchess out, he is the obvious number one option at receiver. In the last two games, he has 248 yards and a touchdown for an average of 19.5 FanDuel points.
This week he will face the 27th ranked pass defense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that have allowed a league leading 26 touchdowns through the air and also allowed seven pass catchers to surpass 100 yards in a game.
WR: Josh Reynolds ($5,800, LAR @ DET)
Josh Reynolds has filled in very well for the injured Cooper Kupp this season. In his two starts for Kupp, Reynolds has visited the endzone three times and is averaging 17.25 FanDuel points. He now visits a Lions defense that allowed D.J. Moore to notch seven catches for 157 yards and a score just two weeks ago. If the game stays competitive, Reynolds should receive enough targets to have a very productive day in Detroit.
Additional Fanduel Pick: Corey Davis ($5,900, NYJ @ TEN) has been boom or bust most of this season, with two of the last three games being of the boom variety. In those two games Davis has 260 total yards and two touchdowns for 43.5 FanDuel points. The Titans should look to get him the ball against the struggling Jets on Sunday.
TE: Eric Ebron ($5,600, IND @ JAC)
Eric Ebron has a league leading 11 touchdown catches this season, while playing as the second tight end for much of the year. Jack Doyle has now been placed on IR so Ebron’s target share will go up. He has been an elite fantasy tight end all year and that will surely continue with the loss of Doyle. The Colts face a stingy Jaguars pass defense this weekend but the chance to grab Ebron for $5,600 makes him a great value for week 13.
Additional Fanduel Pick: Cameron Brate ($4,900 CAR @ TB) was my top value last week at tight end and he produced a solid 10.1 FanDuel points. Here he is again because his price remained low at $4,900 and he will continue to be a big part of the Bucs offense, especially in the red zone.
DEF: Rams ($4,100 @ DET)
The Rams scored a ridiculous 21 FanDuel points last week against the explosive offense of the Kansas City Chiefs. While they are likely not going to repeat a two defensive touchdown performance, they are still a very talented defense that faces the turnover prone Matt Stafford. They will likely get some pressure on Stafford, who is without many of the weapons that he started the season with. This should make Stafford force things which usually results in turnovers.
Additional FanDuel Pick: Colts ($4,100 @ JAC) This one is pretty simple, the Colts will be facing the Jaguars, who will have a quarterback under center making his first career start and they are also without their starting running back due to suspension. It isn’t necessarily about the Colts being good, it’s about the Jaguars being bad.
