This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 15, but our FanDuel picks will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
With that being said, these are my FanDuel Week 15 value plays.
QB: Derek Carr ($6,800, OAK @ CIN)
The Raiders have put together two consecutive performances that look like that of an actual NFL team. Derek Carr has played well in each of those games, with a completion percentage of 73% or better in each contest and averaging 21.49 FanDuel points. A healthy Jordy Nelson has proved to be a valuable weapon when paired with the extremely talented Jared Cook at tight end, giving Carr two solid downfield options to throw to. He now squares off against the NFL’s worst defense of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have allowed the fourth most passing yards in the league as well as 27 touchdowns on the year. Carr should continue to post good numbers this week as he looks the prove to the Raiders that he is their quarterback of the future.
Additional Value Pick: Dak Prescott ($7,300, DAL @ IND) and the Cowboys offense have been rolling since the acquisition of Amari Cooper. Prescott just posted a career best 455 passing yards on 42 of 54 passes. He and the Cowboys are playing with extreme confidence as they travel to Indianapolis to try and out-duel Andrew Luck and the Colts.
RB: Derrick Henry ($6,100, TEN @ NYG)
Derrick Henry is rolling into this week after posting 47.8 FanDuel points against the stingy Jacksonville Jaguars last Thursday night. He now gets to run against the 22nd ranked rush defense of the New York Giants. The Giants have allowed close to 1600 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns this season, which should have Derrick Henry licking his chops. His recent performance should garner the bruising back a larger share of the workload, making him a good bet to find the end zone for the tenth time this season.
RB: Dalvin Cook ($6,200, MIA @ MIN)
In the last three weeks Dalvin Cook has scored his three highest point totals of the season. The skilled back is averaging 15.5 FanDuel points per game during that stretch by being involved heavily on the ground in addition to catching 16 passes. The 29th ranked rush defense of the Miami Dolphins visits on Sunday and the Vikings will likely try to establish the ground game early to take some pressure off of struggling quarterback, Kirk Cousins. Cook should be involved throughout the game, getting 15+ touches to help produce a solid fantasy stat line.
Additional Value Pick: Chris Carson ($6,300 SEA @ SF) has established himself as the lead back in Seattle and for good reason. The consistent Carson has 12.3 FanDuel points or more in his last four games and in five of his last six. Most recently he turned 22 carries into 90 yards and a touchdown against the league’s fifth best defense of the Vikings.
WR: Amari Cooper ($6,600, DAL @ IND)
Amari Cooper has 88.3 FanDuel points in his last three games, including 44.7 last week against Philadelphia. His price is still an absurd $2,000+ less than the top receivers this week as he visits the middle of the pack pass defense of the Colts. He has looked the part of a true number one receiver since arriving in Dallas and another huge performance will likely put this incredibly low-price tag through the roof. Take the value while it is still there.
WR: Robert Foster ($5,400, DET @ BUF)
The talented rookie wide receiver Robert Foster has scored 12 FanDuel points or more in three of his last four games. He has a strong connection with quarterback Josh Allen that will only continue to grow as both rookies improve and gain more experience together. Priced at $5,400, Foster is one of the lowest priced number one receivers and he offers a lot of upside against the Lions in Buffalo this weekend.
Additional Value Pick: Jordy Nelson ($5,000, OAK @ CIN) is now healthy and has played very well in two consecutive games. He has caught 16 of 18 targets during that time and will be looking to exploit the league’s worst defense on Sunday.
TE: Ian Thomas ($5,400, NO @ CAR)
Ian Thomas was my additional value pick last week against the Browns, and he came through with nine catches for 77 yards and 12.2 FanDuel points. This week he will play on Monday night against the 28th ranked pass defense of the Saints. Cam Newton should again target Thomas early and often, resulting in another solid performance for the former backup tight end.
Additional Value Pick: Vernon Davis ($5,300 WAS @ JAC) does not have the ideal quarterback situation for a pass-catching tight end. Okay, that might be the understatement of the century as the quarterback situation in Washington is an absolute train wreck. The reason that Davis has landed on this list is because he is still ridiculously athletic and Jordan Reed is likely going to be sitting this game out. Josh Johnson will be getting the start and he actually looked competent in relief last week. This week against the Jags, Davis should be one of his best friends as check downs usually pile up when back up quarterbacks see game action.
DEF: Vikings ($3,900 vs MIA)
The Dolphins are coming into this game off of one of the most improbable wins of the season. Their 29th ranked offense will be met with the NFL’s 5th ranked defense of the Minnesota Vikings. The last time the Vikings faced a low-ranking offense at home they put up 22 FanDuel points against the Lions. This is a great opportunity to grab one of the league’s top defenses priced in the middle of the pack.
Additional Value Pick: Bears ($3,700 @ CHI) The Bears sacked Aaron Rodgers four times and forced two turnovers in their season opening game at Green Bay, on their way to 14 FanDuel points. They just held the explosive Rams offense to six points on their way to 20 FanDuel points last week. At this price, they are a solid pick regardless who the opponent is.
