FanDuel Week 7 Value Picks: Calvin Ridley, Josh Jacobs, and Hunter Henry are among this week’s smart FanDuel plays that won’t break the bank.
The FanDuel Dollar Menu provides you with a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast-food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Week 7 Value Picks
QB: Daniel Jones ($7,200 ARI @ NYG)
Daniel Jones has struggled to replicate his week three performance where he torched the Buccaneers for 34.24 FanDuel points in his first career start. In his defense, he has been without his top playmakers and he has squared off against two top-five defenses in the last two games.
Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram appear set to return, which should give the entire Giants offense, including Jones, a significant boost. The 30th ranked defense of the Arizona Cardinals will also be a welcome sight after they just allowed Matt Ryan to complete 83% of his passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns in their last game.
I predict this game could have the highest point total of the weekend and currently has an over/under of 49.5, which bodes well for the players and their fantasy performances.
Additional Value Pick: Jacoby Brissett ($7,300, HOU @ IND) and the Colts leaned on their running game to pull the upset of the Chiefs in week five. I expect their offensive game plan to be close to the opposite in week seven when the Texans visit. The Texans boast a very stout run defense but are currently ranked 24th against the pass, making Brissett a solid choice, especially in this price range.
RB: Frank Gore ($6,000, MIA @ BUF)
Frank Gore has had 16 or more touches in every Bills game after week one, resulting in an average of 12.5 FanDuel points per game during that time. The elder statesman now gets to run against his former team and their last-ranked defense.
The Dolphins have allowed a tick under 170 rushing yards per game, including 118 in week 6 to another ageless wonder, Adrian Peterson. Gore is sporting a great price tag for a back that should see 16+ touches again this week in a juicy matchup.
RB: Josh Jacobs ($6,700, OAK @ GB)
The last time that rookie running back Josh Jacobs was on the field was by far his most impressive performance as a pro. He parlayed 26 carries into 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns while adding three catches for 20 more yards. The most impressive part may be that it was against the vaunted defense of the Chicago Bears.
Jacobs has had 99 yards or more in four of five games this season and he now faces a Packers defense that is ranked 29th in FanDuel points allowed to running backs. The Raiders will look to replicate their winning formula this week, which involves a heavy dose of the prolific rookie running back.
Additional Value Pick: Tevin Coleman ($6,200, SF @ WAS) was in this exact spot on the Dollar Menu last week and he produced 13.1 FanDuel points for a price of only $5,000. He has a significantly higher price this week, but his opponent is significantly worse. The Redskins are the 28th ranked run defense and are allowing opponents almost 28 points per game. Coleman is a good bet to find the end zone for the third consecutive week and is priced low for a starting running back.
WR: Larry Fitzgerald ($5,600, ARI @ NYG)
Larry Fitzgerald has caught six of eight targets in back to back games, though he has not had astronomical yardage or found his way into the end zone. This is a prime week for Fitzgerald to get back over the century mark and find the endzone again. The Giants are allowing over 300 receiving yards per game and 13.5 yards per catch.
Christian Kirk is still questionable with an ankle injury, meaning Fitzgerald could still be alone atop the Cardinals receiving corps. As I stated previously, I expect this game to have tons of points scored so I am pushing in my chips on Fitzgerald at $5,600.
WR: Calvin Ridley ($5,500, LAR @ ATL)
Calvin Ridley has caught touchdowns in back to back games, giving him a total of four on the season. He has six or more targets in five of their six games and quarterback Matt Ryan is playing at a very high level.
The Rams are shuffling at the cornerback position as they just traded Marcus Peters and placed Aqib Talib on the IR. They did just add top talent, Jalen Ramsey, who will likely be matched up with Julio Jones leaving Ridley to face inferior defenders. Ridley is priced well at $5,500 and could reward buyers with another solid fantasy day.
Additional Value Pick: Tyler Boyd ($5,600, JAC @ CIN) was on the Dollar Menu last week and he completely bombed with 2.5 FanDuel points. I am back on the Boyd wagon this week with an even lower price and a better matchup. Boyd will be facing the Jaguars without Jalen Ramsey and the last time that he had a disappointing outing he followed it up with 10 catches and 123 yards topped off with a touchdown.
TE: Hunter Henry ($5,700, LAC @ TEN)
Hunter Henry was the only bright spot in a very bleak week six performance by the Chargers. Henry returned from a four-game absence to catch eight of nine targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns. The Titans have allowed an average of 10.75 FanDuel points per game to tight ends this season, which is ninth-most in the league. Henry is priced $1,400 below the top tight end in Sunday’s main slate, making him an incredible value this week.
Additional Value Pick: Darren Fells ($5,400 HOU @ IND) proved last week that he is not a completely touchdown-dependent option, as many previously thought. He followed up his week five, two-touchdown game with a solid week six outing by catching six of seven targets for 69 yards. The Colts are currently allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to tight ends, making this a solid matchup for Fells.
DEF: Vikings ($3,800 @ DET)
Unlike the Vikings passing game this season, the defense has been consistently good as they have allowed 21 points or fewer in every game this season. They are currently a top-five defense and rank ninth or better in run and pass defense. Matt Stafford has struggled in recent years against the Vikings, including only 315 total passing yards in both 2018 matchups combined and no touchdowns. The Vikings are a very good defense at a very good price.
Additional Value Pick: Saints ($4,400 @ CHI) The Saints are averaging 10.5 FanDuel points over their last four games. They are matched up with the 30th ranked offense of the Bears this week. This is the same Bears offense that gave up four sacks and two interceptions in a loss to the Raiders last week. The Saints have good upside and are priced $1,100 lower than the top defense in the Sunday main slate.
