San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (knee) will not practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Breida will need to get in at least limited practices the rest of the week to have a shot at playing in Week 4 against the Chargers. If he isn’t able to play, Alfred Morris should be the workhorse in the backfield. Breida has been the better back of the two through three games, rushing 32 times for 274 yards (8.6 yards per carry) and a touchdown. He also has seven receptions for 53 yards.
