Jamaal Williams Has Two Touchdowns
Green Bay running back Jamaal Williams ran for 66 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He added 69 yards receiving with a touchdown in the passing game. The rookie running back is filling in for injured running backs Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones. Read more.
Martavis Bryant Ends Touchdown Drought
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant turned in a big Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers. The 25-year-old wideout caught 4-of-6 targets for 40 yards and one touchdown, his first score since Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. Despite Bryant’s solid game, be sure to temper expectations going forward as the absence of rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster surely led to him being more prominently involved in the Steelers’ passing attack. Trevor Siemian Shows Spark In Relief
Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian came into the game in the second half after Paxton Lynch (ankle) got injured. He went 11-21 for 149 yards and two touchdowns but fell short of a major comeback in the 21-14 loss. Read more.
Isaiah Crowell Posts Season-Best 95 Rushing Yards
In Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Crowell rushed 16 times for 95 yards and added one catch for 10 yards in the passing game. This came a week after managing just 18 rushing yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Read more.
C.J. Beathard To Undergo MRI Monday On Injured Knee
San Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard (knee) left their 24-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks early with a knee injury. Beathard will get an MRI Monday. Beathard is optimistic, stating, “It could be just a bruise to the knee. I don’t think anything’s torn.” He was replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo late in the game, and his status for Week 13’s game against the Bears is in doubt. Read more.
Amari Cooper Leaves Game Early with Concussion
After catching one ball for nine yards and a touchdown, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper (concussion) took a vicious hit to the head from Broncos safety Darian Stewart, knocking him briefly unconscious before he was taken to the locker room for the remainder of the game. Read more.
Marshawn Lynch Sees Season-High Touches
For the first time since the beginning of the season, Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch saw over 20 touches, leading to 67 yards and one touchdown on the ground, along with three catches for 44 yards through the air. Read more.
Mark Ingram Held in Check
Ingram carried the ball 11 times for 31 yards with a long of just seven yards. He also managed two receptions for five yards. Ingram appeared to have a touchdown late in the game but it was called back due to penalty. Read more.
Julio Jones Has A Monster Day
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones caught 12 of his team-high 15 targets for 253 yards and two touchdowns as the Atlanta Falcons squeaked past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home on Sunday. Jones’ performance Sunday effectively tripled his touchdown catches for the season from one to three. Read more.
Doug Martin Left Early With Concussion
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin left Sunday’s game vs the Falcons early with a concussion. Before his exit, he had 33 rushing yards on seven attempts, and looked strong out on the field. Read more.
Robby Anderson’s Breakout Continues
Rob Gronkowski Racks Up 82 Yards, Two Touchdowns
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to form against the Dolphins, catching two touchdowns as the Patriots won decisively 35-17. Gronkowski caught five passes 82 yards and had a very active first half. Read more.
