The New England Patriots are showing interest in UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, according to a source. After acquiring a second first-round pick in this year’s draft by sending wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Rams, the Patriots have ammunition to trade up to select a signal caller that could be the heir apparent to Tom Brady. The Patriots have the No. 23 and No. 31 picks in the first round this year. Rosen is among the top three quarterbacks in this year’s class, so New England would surely have to trade up to get him. He has plenty of upside in the long term, but he wouldn’t be a redraft option in 2018 with Brady still in the picture.
