“Don’t swap horses in crossing a stream.” – Abraham Lincoln.
There is something that every successful DFS player does that the beginner to above average does not do consistently. Late swaps. Stop undervaluing what this will do for you every single week. Al Zeidenfeld was en route to potentially win the millionaire maker in Sept 2016. Eddie Lacy was his final play, and Al was in 180th place. The brilliance of what happened next was quite simple yet highly strategic. He went through everyone ahead of him and how long those players had to remain. With everyone at 60 minutes and the remaining contestants only having TEs and DTSs to play, Al made a bold move and swapped from Eddie Lacy’s safe running back floor to WR Stefon Diggs’s high ceiling. Diggs erupted like a volcano and exploded all over Green Bays’ secondary with an electric 9 catches, 11 targets, 182 yards, and a touchdown performance. One move turned Al into a millionaire and others into a monetary gain. Practice it in your next contest, even if you are losing. You never know what can happen on any given Sunday. I wish you the best of luck this weekend for those in playoff positions. To everyone, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a wonderful New Year.
Week 15 Review:
1) Dak Prescot QB, DAL $6,200 – Dak finished with the fire icon and 22.54 fantasy points. Perfect for the price.
2) Miles Sanders RB, PHI $6,200 – Sanders had a different icon beside his name. He sported the cold snowflake indicative of his 2.9 fantasy blunder.
3) CeeDee Lamb WR, DAL $7,300 – Ceedee hit at 22.70 fantasy points. He didn’t hit ceiling projections, but he most likely made you money.
4) Gerald Everett TE, LAC $4,300 – Everett got his projections, and that’s all. With Allen and Williams back full-time, we didn’t get the extra one or two more targets in that matchup. Finished the day with 8.2 fantasy points.
5) Dare Ogunbawale RB, $4,700 – Never accept a dare from me again. I let us down with 1.4 fantasy points.
6) Patriots DST, NE $2,800 – 11 points was perfect for this cost. If you didn’t hit big, this would keep your lineups competitive in the middle range giving you an edge.
Week 16 ‘Pick-Six’ Pics:

1) Daniel Jones QB, NYG $5,600 – This play is if you only want a QB. Jones’ stack potential is volatile as his options are limited. Jones has proven his legs can run one in for a TD, and his air attack is typically little. This game could see his highest air yardage of the year, and predicting who will receive all those yards is difficult. However, the overall price and matchup are worth the play if you want to stack three costly players this week.
2) Rhamondre Stevenson RB, NE $7,100 – The Patriots have been struggling to win, but they have been fighting every game out, and the defense keeps it within reach. Stevenson will be the main guy in this week’s game package. Harris is out, and Stevenson has shown what he can do when given the ball. 172 yards just last week, and I don’t see this wrecking ball getting stopped against the Bengals. The Bengals D-line is ranked 24th in the league against a New England-ranked 10th O-line. You will be part of a lower ownership piece and a little less than some of the other primary backs this week. This week, Stevenson has the same potential as everyone else above his price tag. Pay up for other studs and get some extra Christmas spending money.
3) Ja’marr Chase WR, CIN $8,300 – I am predicting that Chase has a monster day. Since Chase has returned, he has had 24 receptions on 36 targets giving him a 21.8% target share. Chase has churned those opportunities in 276 yards and two TDs. New England will limit Chase from his entire ceiling, but he can put 30 points on the board every time he touches the field. He can become the most electrifying WR of any week if left one-on-one.
4) T.J. Hockenson TE, MIN $4,900 – The sub $5k value here is a must-grab this week. He is a target monster averaging eight per game since his arrival. The Vikings are dominant at stretching the field. Hockenson should see his usual workload and deliver body shots all game. If one lands in the endzone, it will be a good day. The Vikings have 19 passing TDs and 12 rushing TDs inside the 20-yard line this year. They are a pass-first team, and I like the play off the highly-owned WR Justin Jefferson.
5) J.K. Dobbins RB, BAL $5,800 – Let me redeem myself for last week’s flex RB bust to this week’s RB redemption. No Lamar Jackson this week, and Dobbins has been an animal since his return. With 120 rushing yards in week 14 and 125 in Week 15, Dobbins is set to roll over the Atlanta Falcons. However, he has only had one target in two games, so we need a couple of catches with his 13-15 touches to succeed.
6) Eagles DST, PHI $2,200 – This feels too good to be true. Earlier this year, when the Eagles and Cowboys faced off, they managed 7 fantasy points for $3,000. The Eagles have the best defensive line in the game; if you don’t think that matters watch the last play of last year’s Super Bowl. Pressure will be applied, disrupting both the rush and passing game. The Eagles are going to make defensive plays, and they have the potential to turn those into 6-point plays. Temper expectations, but this has the highest DST upside for its cost to me.
