Week 2 was a very nice start to the weekly betting articles. Both teasers hit (3 if you count the bonus Thursday Night teaser) and both underdogs won so if you slipped in a money line parlay you could have won big on these picks last week. We will continue to ride some hot teams while also getting some new teams with good matchups into the mix.
The over/unders were not as successful unfortunately as those only went 1/4 but as always with betting you must get back on the horse! The Jaguars’ offense decided not to show up Sunday crushing all fantasy and over backers, while the Cowboys put threw some late meaningless field goals to sink our under. Unders were huge in week 1 and overs made a huge comeback in week 2, it would make sense to start seeing things even out to the middle where we can start finding some value.
Hopefully, we will be able to keep the good times rolling and pick some more winners this week, let’s get to it.
6-point Teaser of the Week

Bills (Pick) at Commanders – Getting the Bills just to win against maybe an overrated 2-0 Commanders team feels very nice. The Bills bounced back last week against the Raiders and they should have more than enough to take down Sam Howell this week. The Commanders’ two wins are very unimpressive and I think they get brought back down to earth this week.
Seahawks (Pick) vs. Panthers – In the year 2023 if you can bet against Andy Dalton you take that every day and twice on Sunday. While I think the Panthers’ defense will have some success against a beat-up Seattle offensive line, it won’t be enough to make up for their inept offense. Geno Smith will with the battle of former second-round picks.
7-point Teaser of the Week
Chargers (+8) at Vikings – This seems like a “whoever has the ball last wins” type of game. The Chargers have the better defense in this game and more than enough firepower to keep up with Kirk Cousins and the boys. Give me one team at over a TD in that type of game, hopefully, the Chargers don’t go full Chargers and blow this on the last play of the game.
Saints (+8) vs. Packers – I think the Saints have the defense to win this game outright, it’s just whether the offense will be able to do enough to match the Packers. With an 8-point cushion we have a nice insurance plan in case Carr decides to blow this at the end of the game. Good thing it’s still relatively warm up in Green Bay right now as well.
Bonus Blowout Teaser (6 points)
Chiefs -6.5/Cowboys -6.5 – Both of these games look to be huge blowouts, to avoid an annoying backdoor cover on either of them just combine them in a teaser and let the money roll in.
Overs of the week:
Bills at Commanders (Over 43) – Last week Josh Allen and the Bills offense looked like it returned to form, I think they continue to look the same against a Commanders team that made Russell Wilson look like his old MVP days. The Commanders have also had a very good offense so far this year, with lots of big plays. I think they can add enough offense to get over this number.
Eagles at Buccaneers (Over 45) – Neither of these teams seems to be able to cover the pass very well at this point which can lead to some big plays. As long as these two teams’ drives don’t stall in the red zone they will put up enough points to get over this number.
Unders of the week
Titans at Browns (Under 38.5) – This game will be an old-fashioned slugfest where the first team to double digits may win. Without Nick Chubb on the Browns and Deandre Hopkins suiting up for the Titans it’s hard to see how these teams can do much scoring. Expect a lot of field goals in this matchup.

Saints at Packers (Under 42) – It appears for another week Aaron Jones and Christian Watson will be out for Green Bay which will keep their offense severely limited again. Combine this with the Saints stout defense and they should be able to keep the Pack from scoring a big number. The Saints offense also has not been too impressive so far this year and Alvin Kamara is still one more week on suspension. Until Derek Carr shows he can score more in the red zone I like the Saints as unders this year.
