Alex Smith and Washington expected to part ways

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the Washington Football Team is expected to part ways with QB Alex Smith.

Fantasy Impact: Smith has two years remaining in his four-year, $94 million contract and is expected to be released by Washington. The AP Comeback Player of the Year is a free agent for the time ever and at 36 years old still wants play in the NFL. He threw for 1,582 yards and a 6:8 TD:INT ratio across eight games for Washington in 2020. Smith will look to latch onto another team during the offseason if he continues his NFL career.
