The New York Jets are signing QB Brett Rypien to their roster off of the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad.
Fantasy Impact: Rypien, who started a game for the Los Angeles Rams earlier this season, had spent his last month on the Seahawks’ practice squad. In his start this season against Green Bay, he completed 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards and an interception. He has four career starts, including three with the Denver Broncos where he spent his first three seasons. The Jets also released the recently benched QB Tim Boyle, making Rypien one of their three QBs alongside Trevor Siemian and Zach Wilson, who was demoted to third-string.
