Fantasy Impact: Akers had carved out the lead role in the Rams backfield after his miraculous return from an Achilles injury, but a shoulder injury knocked him out of action for a time during the team’s win over the 49ers in the NFC Championship game. The fact that Akers returned to the game after leaving with the injury certainly suggests that the ailment isn’t overly serious.
