Carson Wentz is not participating in practice today due to an unknown foot injury. The belief right now in Indianapolis is the injury is minor, but Wentz will undergo additional testing as a precautionary measure.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy managers shouldn’t overreact to anything quite yet. Training camp just started and teams are going to be careful with all of their players, especially their starting quarterbacks. The situation requires fantasy managers to keep an eye on any new developments, but right now there doesn’t appear to be any cause for concern. Should all tests come back negative, Wentz is an interesting fantasy option this season. From 2017-2019, he averaged 27 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Assuming he can get back to that level of play, he could be a worthwhile addition in any Superflex or 2QB leagues. It’s possible he even works himself into the weekly streaming conversation in single-QB formats.
