According to an NBC Sports Washington report, Washington Commanders QB Carson Wentz has made a good first impression with his new coaches and teammates after being criticized during his time with Philadelphia and Indianapolis.
Fantasy Impact: Wentz was labeled as thin-skinned and difficult to coach in Philadelphia, and you would be hard pressed to find someone from Indianapolis who speaks kindly about their former QB, but Wentz appears to be making the most of his fresh start in Washington. Although unlikely to receive any Holliday cards from his past two career stops, multiple players and coaches have sung Wentz praises as a leader and teammate. After finishing as a top five fantasy QB in his second season, Wentz has struggled with injuries and turnovers, and he has ultimately functioned as a QB2 when healthy and playing in his last four seasons. Wentz will be Washington’s unquestioned starter in 2022, and although he is unlikely to provide much fantasy relevance outside of 2QB and Super Flex leagues, he does represent the best QB Washington has had since Kirk Cousins’ departure in 2018.
