Dalton Shultz registered seven receptions on nine targets for 62 receiving yards in Sunday’s 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact: In a game where the Dallas offense looked lost for the majority of the time, Shultz still managed to turn in TE1 production for fantasy managers. His nine targets were tied for second most on the team as he served as Dak Prescott’s safety valve for most of the game. Despite this solid showing in the season opener, Prescott going down with a thumb injury for several weeks hurts Shultz’s upside a bit. Cooper Rush will likely be Prescott’s replacement, and he may not favor the tight end as much in the coming weeks. For now, Shultz likely stays in your lineup, but his connection with Rush next week should be monitored closely.
