Derek Carr completed 21 of his 34 passes on Monday night, totalling just 196 passing yards en route to two touchdowns and one interception. He’d also chip in six yards on the ground.
Fantasy Impact: It was a first half to forget for Carr, as he and the Raiders never had a drive last longer than six plays. Thankfully Carr bounced back in the second half with a couple touchdown tosses, which fantasy managers should see as a positive out of anything. Carr had been putting up QB1 numbers to start the year but failed to deliver against a Chargers defense that is on a roll now with two huge wins in the last two weeks. Carr will draw a matchup against Chicago next week, which could once again pose problems for the Raiders offensive line and in turn for Carr. He’ll be a mid-ranged QB2 for any teams in need of a QB in Week 5, although managers should likely look elsewhere.
