Evan Engram was spotted practicing in full pads with the training staff on the back field this past Thursday. The Giants’ starting tight end suffered a calf injury in the preseason finale against New England.
Fantasy Impact: There is some fear that Engram won’t be ready for the season opener in over a week, which would elevate Kyle Rudolph to the starting job. Engram had a fairly disappointing 2020 campaign, catching 63 passes for 654 yards and just one touchdown. He currently ranks 14th among tight ends in the latest expert consensus draft rankings; it’s hard to trust him as anything more than a mid-range TE2 at this point.
