James Conner (knee) is expected to miss multiple weeks due to the injury he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Bengals, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Conner could be placed on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact: This is tough news for a Cardinals squad that has benefitted from solid production out of the backfield. Through the first four weeks of the season, Conner totaled 62 carries for 318 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught eight passes for an additional 30 receiving yards. With Conner sidelined and Keaontay Ingram (neck) also struggling to get on the field, Arizona could turn to rookie Emari Demercado as its top running back for Week 6 versus the Rams. In such a scenario, Demercado would rank as a solid RB3/FLEX option.
