Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jets and WR Jamison Crowder have finalized a renegotiated contract which will keep him on the team for 2021.
Fantasy Impact: After weeks of contract discussions the Jets and Crowder have agreed to a restructured contract which will keep the WR in New York for the 2021 season. Up until this point, Crowder was absent from team offseason practices as speculations of a potential release grew if the two sides couldn’t agree on an updated deal. It was previously reported that the Jets wanted Crowder to take a pay cut of more than 50%, as he was set to make $10M this year. While the details of the renegotiated contract are still unknown, both sides have seemingly achieved their goals as Crowder will still get a chance for a big payday next year while the Jets retain the veteran who should be a reliable weapon for rookie QB Zach Wilson. In 2020, Crowder played in 12 games and totaled 59 catches for 699 yards and six TD’s. Crowder projects to be one of the top WR’s for the Jets and a safe PPR option in fantasy scoring.
