The Houston Texans have released quarterback Kevin Hogan just three days into training camp as reported by Pro Football Network’s Aaron Williams.
Fantasy Impact: Kevin Hogan only has one career NFL start but was in camp presumptively due to his experience in Houston OC Pep Hamilton’s system from his time at Stanford. Despite his relatively short time in Houston, start Davis Mills had previously praised Hogan’s input in the quarterback room during minicamp back in June. Quarterbacks Kyle Allen and Jeff Driskel remain on the Texans’ roster behind starter Davis Mills as training camp moves forward. Hogan will now try and catch on with another team, possibly as a practice squad quarterback like he was last season in Tennessee.
