According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, free agent RB Marlon Mack, who was released by the Houston Texans yesterday, plans on re-signing with the team to move to the practice squad.
Fantasy Impact: This move allows the Texans to keep Mack, who they obviously liked to sign in the first place, but keep him on the practice squad so he doesn’t interfere with the 53-man limit on the active roster. Mack, before dealing with injuries the last two seasons, had back-to-back 900-plus yard seasons on the ground. He adds depth to Houston’s core, but now he sits safely away from rookie RB Dameon Pierce, the team’s heir apparent to be its RB1.
