Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff denied rumors that the organization is frustrated with QB Matthew Stafford over their failure to renegotiate his contract or that the Rams shopped the veteran QB.
Fantasy Impact: Demoff said that if the Rams wanted to walk out of Stafford’s deal, they could have, but they chose not to do so. He also claimed teams contacted the Rams about Stafford’s availability. This comes after claims from Michael Lombardi and Colin Cowherd that the front office was frustrated with Stafford and looking to move him. The Rams struggled in 2022 after winning the Super Bowl, and Stafford played poorly before his injury that led the Rams to start mid-season acquisition Baker Mayfield for most of the season. Whether the Rams are frustrated or not, it appears as though the team is moving forward with Stafford at least in the short-term future, with no potential out until 2026.
