Patrick Mahomes II completed 25-of-43 passes for 271 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Bills on Sunday. He added eight rushing yards on his lone carry.
Fantasy Impact: Mahomes was visibly frustrated after the game due to a delayed call by the referees that called back a game-winning touchdown by Kadarius Toney. It’s been a rough stretch of games for the Chiefs, who have now lost four of their last six games. While the emergence of Rashee Rice has certainly helped Mahomes, it’s clear that Kansas City will need to invest in wide receiver this off-season as Travis Kelce enters the twilight of his career. Since Tyreek Hill left Kansas City, Mahomes has not been his usual dominant self. That’s not to say he has “lost a step”, but it’s easy to see that the personnel around him are sub-par and affecting his numbers.
