Fantasy Impact: The Rams were dealt a major blow on Monday with news that running backs Kyren Williams (ankle) and Ronnie Rivers (knee) will both miss time. Barshop reports that rookie Zach Evans will “likely” draw the start at running back, though Freeman will likely get promoted from the practice squad. Assuming Los Angeles doesn’t make a high-profile running back signing in the next few days, Freeman is on track to back up Evans. In such a scenario, the veteran would earn plenty of snaps thanks to his experience and pass-blocking ability. He’s a low-end RB3/FLEX option in deep leagues.
