Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is “bracing for a change of scenery via release or trade” this offseason and could be included in an expected Carson Wentz trade, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Fantasy Impact: The Eagles and Ertz negotiated a contract extension prior to last season but were unable to agree to terms. He was reportedly frustrated with the negotiations at the time, and he is unlikely to be with the team in 2021 with the team entering what appears to be a rebuilding year and the veteran tight end entering the last year of his contract. Ertz had a down year in 2020 but is still just 30 years old and caught 88 passes for 916 yards and six touchdowns in 2019.
