Zach Ertz (knee) uncertain for Week 1

Zach Ertz, who was eyeing a Week 1 return from a torn ACL and MCL, is unsure if he will be ready to make a Week 1 return against the Commanders.

Fantasy Impact: Ertz suffered a severe injury in mid-November of the 2022 season, and despite reports that he would be good to go for Week 1, Ertz himself indicated Wednesday that might not be the case. The 32-year-old TE wants to see how his body recovers from consecutive practice days, among other factors, before confirming his Week 1 availability. If Ertz does miss time, Trey McBride will be in line to see an increase in targets.
