FanDuel Week 7 Value Plays This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 7, but those who will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Week 7 Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
With that being said, these are my FanDuel Week 7 value plays.
QB: Carson Wentz ($7,600, CAR @ PHI)
Every start this season for Carson Wentz has yielded more FanDuel points than the previous one with his last 3 games all being over 20 FanDuel points. Wentz is improving each week and he and WR Alshon Jeffery have quickly gotten rolling after both returned from lengthy injuries. After posting 24+ FanDuel points against the Giants on Thursday, Wentz and the Eagles will have had 10 days to prepare for a home matchup with the often-shaky Panthers secondary. Wentz’s streak of 20+ FanDuel points should continue on Sunday.

Additional Value Pick: Joe Flacco ($7,500, NO @ BAL) squares off at home against the 30th ranked pass defense of the New Orleans Saints. Flacco has underperformed in his last 2 games but the Ravens will have to put some points on the board to keep pace with the explosive Saints. Flacco could easily put up his best numbers of the season.
RB: LeSean McCoy ($6,200, BUF @ IND)
Derek Anderson will be making his 5th start over the last 8 seasons on Sunday. The Bills have the 3rd ranked overall defense in the league. I think the game plan for Sunday will be rather simple: play solid defense, control the ball with the running game, and try to limit turnovers. The end result should be a heavy dose of Shady LeSean McCoy this week. He has averaged 22.5 touches over the previous 2 weeks, resulting in double-digit FanDuel points in each of those contests. The 23rd ranked Colts defense allowed the Patriots running back duo of Sony Michel and James White to combine for 36+ FanDuel points just 2 weeks ago.
RB: Frank Gore ($5,600 DET @ MIA)
Frank Gore averaged 6.7 yards per carry and logged his first 100-yard game as a Dolphin last week against the vaunted defense of the Chicago Bears. This week the 30th ranked rush defense of the Detroit Lions comes to town. You will not find another player that will get as many opportunities in an ideal matchup at this price point.
WR: Jarvis Landry ($6,500, CLE @ TB)
Jarvis Landry is getting targets. Through 6 weeks the Browns star receiver is averaging 11 targets per game, though he and quarterback Baker Mayfield have struggled to develop solid chemistry on the field. This game should aid in their quest to sync up as they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that just fired their defensive coordinator and has the worst pass defense in the league. The Buccaneers have struggled to stop anyone, including Julio Jones, who scorched them for 144 yards on 10 catches just one week ago.
WR: Willie Snead IV ($5,400, NO @ BAL)
There always seems to be a little extra motivation for players going against their former teams. This week Willie Snead’s former team, the New Orleans Saints, visit him and his Ravens teammates in his new home at M&T Bank Stadium. Snead is hoping to build on a Week 6 performance where he saw a season high in targets, catches, and yards. The Saints 30th ranked pass defense should allow him plenty of opportunities to be successful in a game that Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense may have to air it out more than usual. Look for Snead to play with a little extra energy against his former teammates and put up solid FanDuel numbers for a WR with a very low price tag.
Additional Value Pick: Josh Gordon ($6,700, NE @ CHI) led the Patriots in targets with 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6. Gordon’s ridiculous talent, paired with that many targets from Tom Brady, could pay big dividends against a Bears defense that allowed 30 FanDuel points to Albert Wilson in Week 6 (with Brock Osweiler throwing to him).
TE: O.J. Howard ($5,800, CLE @ TB)
Last week, I was on Cameron Brate as the Buccaneers TE to buy because O.J. Howard was dealing with an injury. As the dust settled, both Bucs pass catchers finished the game with a visit to the end zone and Howard added 4 catches and 62 yards with his score. Now the same 28th ranked Browns defense that Raiders TE Jared Cook exploited for 27 FanDuel points travels to Tampa Bay from Cleveland. As the 11th player on the price list, it is unlikely that 10 TEs will score more than him this week.
Additional Value Pick: David Njoku ($5,700, CLE @ TB) is the other freakishly athletic TE in this Browns and Buccaneers matchup. Njoku is quickly becoming a favorite target of Mayfield, resulting in 29 targets over the past 3 games. The Buccaneers pass defense has struggled all season, to put it kindly, and this week should be no different.
DEF: Colts ($4,100 vs BUF)
The Colts welcome the 31st ranked offense of the Buffalo Bills to Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. In addition, 7th overall pick Josh Allen is out with an elbow injury, so the Bills turn to Anderson. The Colts should try to load up on McCoy and force Anderson to beat them, resulting in sacks and turnovers equaling a high FanDuel output.
Additional Value Pick: BUF ($3,400 @ IND) The Bills enter Week 7 as the 3rd ranked total defense in the NFL. The Colts offense is turnover prone with 13 on the year and their opposing defenses have averaged 11 F.P.P.G. over the last 3 weeks. If the Bills offense can avoid putting the defense in bad field position, then the defense could produce well for the low price tag of $3,400.
