FanDuel Week 6 Value Picks: Derrick Henry, Tyler Boyd, and Austin Hooper are among this week’s smart FanDuel plays that won’t break the bank.

FanDuel Dollar Menu – Week 6 Value Picks

QB: Gardner Minshew II ($6,900 NO @ JAC)

Gardner Minshew has quickly put together a very impressive rookie campaign.  He currently sits at 12th in FanDuel points per game at the quarterback position but is priced as the 15th quarterback in the Sunday main slate.  That alone shows that his value is higher than his price tag in a week where he is $500 cheaper than Baker Mayfield while averaging almost 7 more FanDuel points per game.  He also gets to face the Saints defense, which ranks 30th in FanDuel points allowed to opposing quarterbacks and allowed Russell Wilson to score a whopping 41.34 FanDuel points in week three.  Minshew will try to do his best Wilson impersonation on Sunday and give his buyers a great return on investment this week.

Additional Value Pick: Kyle Allen ($6,500, CAR @ TB) has been very serviceable in his replacement of Cam Newton thus far.  He is averaging right at 225 yards per game and has thrown five touchdowns and no interceptions.  He will face the last-ranked pass defense of the Buccaneers this week in London.  He is worth a look at $6,500.

RB: Le’Veon Bell ($6,800, DAL @ NYJ)

Le’Veon Bell and the entire Jets team will be glad to have Sam Darnold back behind center on Sunday.  After a solid week one performance, Bell has struggled to find much running room as teams have focused on him and dared the Jets to pass. Bell has averaged just under 2.4 yards per carry over his last two contests, causing his price tag to drop this week.  The Cowboys just allowed Aaron Jones to rack up 45.7 FanDuel points in week 5, which had to get the attention of Bell and the Jets offense. There will be a heavy dose of Le’Veon which should produce numbers on the ground and through the air for the versatile back.  Invest in him this week before his price rises again in the weeks to come.

RB: Derrick Henry ($6,700, TEN @ DEN)

Derrick Henry has over 100 touches through the first five weeks of this season and has at least one touchdown in four of those five games.  He is averaging 16.2 FanDuel points per game that puts him above guys like Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette, yet he sports a significantly smaller price.  He will face the Broncos this week and though they were much better in week five, they have been struggling to stop the run for much of the season.  Tennessee will likely lean on Henry again this week by giving him 20+ touches, which will likely yield good results.

Additional Value Pick: Tevin Coleman ($5,000, SF @ LAR) had a very good outing in his return from injury, taking 16 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown. He will still be sharing touches with Breida and Mostert but he appears to be at the top of the pecking order. $5,000 is likely the cheapest that you will ever be able to get a relevant running back, especially one with Coleman’s upside.

WR: D.J. Chark Jr. ($6,500, NO @ JAC)

D.J. Chark Jr. had an incredible outing against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5, hauling in eight catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns. The second-year wideout is currently the 5th ranked receiver in total FanDuel points and he faces a Saints defense that is currently allowing 194 yards per game to opposing receivers. Chark is primed for another great performance and he is priced as the 16th receiver in the Sunday FanDuel main slate, providing great value.

WR: Tyler Boyd ($6,400, CIN @ BAL)

Tyler Boyd had his best game of the season, catching 10 of his 14 targets for 123 yards and touchdown in week five. Without AJ Green and John Ross, he will remain the top target for Andy Dalton in week six as they face the 29th ranked pass defense of the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are giving up over 200 yards to opposing receivers per game, which is third-most in the league. Boyd’s low price tag and solid matchup make his potential return on investment high this week.

Additional Value Pick: Jamison Crowder ($5,400, DAL @ NYJ) caught 14 passes for 99 yards in week one with Sam Darnold under center. In the next three games without Darnold he had eight total catches for 75 yards. These poor performances have brought his price down to a very low price of $5,400. Crowder will be glad to see his quarterback return this week and his stats should reflect that.

TE: Austin Hooper ($6,400, ATL @ ARI)

I typically wouldn’t select someone priced this high as a value pick at tight end but this week is an exception. Averaging 13.46 FanDuel points per game, Austin Hooper ranks as the top tight end this season and he is facing the defense that is ranked dead last against tight ends. Hooper is my top pick at tight end this week and he is priced $1,100 below the top-priced tight end, Travis Kelce, making him an obvious value selection.

Additional Value Pick: Geoff Swaim ($4,200 NO @ JAC) is now the starting tight end in Jacksonville and he is priced low this week. Quarterback Gardner Minshew has attempted 35 passes per game over the last four weeks and should be relatively close to that number again this week. Swaim has caught three or more passes in three of the five games this season as a reserve. He is definitely worth a shot if you have little money to spend at the tight end position this weekend.

DEF: Redskins ($4,200 @ MIA)

Opposing defenses have averaged a preposterous 18.25 FanDuel points per game against the Dolphins through the first 5 weeks this season. The Redskins defense has been somewhat poor this season but the matchup and price are right this week to invest in them.

Additional Value Pick: 49ers ($3,500 @ LAR) The 49ers stymied the Browns on Monday Night Football. They put up 19 FanDuel points by forcing four turnovers and only allowing three points. The Rams will likely fare much better than that this week but this is a quality defense at a very cheap price.
