Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady is “getting closer” to restructuring his contract with the team for the 2021 season, as reported by Josina Anderson.
Fantasy Impact: The 43-year old is coming off of his seventh Super Bowl win and has already cemented his legacy but would like to continue playing past the age of 45. With Brady set to turn 44 in August, it appears the Bucs are willing to run it back with their star veteran under center in 2021 and will re-work his contract to perhaps accommodate other focal points in the receiving corps and on the defensive line. With a full year of experience in the Bucs offense and another offseason to adjust schemes and play-calling with OC Byron Leftwich, fantasy managers should not sleep on Brady in redraft leagues, as he threw for over 4,600 yards and 40 touchdowns during the 2020 regular season.
