FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs — Dollar Menu
FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs Quarterback
Russell Wilson ($7,900 SEA @ GB)
Russell Wilson put up 370 total yards and a passing touchdown on his way to 21.5 FanDuel points in the Seahawks wild card game.
The running back duo of Lynch and Homer combined for only 19 yards on 17 carries, which forced Wilson and his receivers to carry the offense and they answered with 325 yards through the air. While the Packers should be a bit easier to run on than the Eagles, I still suspect Wilson to have to carry the offense once again.
Wilson has had a very good year, averaging almost 21 FanDuel points per game, ranking him as the seventh overall quarterback this season. The Packers pass defense is ranked near the middle of the pack this season making this an average matchup but the lower price makes Wilson a solid value pick.
FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs Running Back
Damien Williams ($6,900, HOU @ KC)
Damien Williams returned from injury in week 16 and ended the year with a bang. The Chiefs running back had 246 yards and three touchdowns in those final two games for an average of 23 FanDuel points. Those two games were against the league’s sixth and eighth-best defenses and now he faces the league’s 28th ranked defense.
This makes consecutive weeks that I am picking the running back that gets the opportunity to play against the Texans defense. It worked relatively well last week as Devin Singletary posted 16.4 FanDuel points with 134 total yards on 13 carries and six catches.
Williams is priced $3,000 cheaper than Derrick Henry and I could see many scenarios in which Williams outscores Henry this weekend. Williams’s matchup, low price, and high ceiling make him a great value on Sunday.
FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs Wide Receiver
WR: Deebo Samuel ($6,100, MIN @ SF)
Deebo Samuel has had a very productive rookie season as he has made 57 catches for 802 yards. Samuel has 12 FanDuel points or more in seven of his last eight games, with his season-high of 22 coming in the 49ers regular-season finale.
The 49ers have certainly recognized his playmaking abilities and have begun to get him the ball more frequently. Samuel actually has nine carries for 122 yards and two touchdowns in his last five games, making him somewhat of a dual-threat.
He now faces a Vikings defense that is middle of the pack in both run and pass defense but has struggled this season to stop opposing wide receivers, as they allow them over 30 FanDuel points per game.
Samuel is priced over $2,000 less than the top receivers this weekend but could very well outproduce them. He should definitely garner strong consideration for your lineups this weekend.
FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs Tight End
Darren Fells ($5,200, HOU @ KC)
The top spots in the choices for a tight end are filled with guys that deserve to be in your lineups because they are the top guys in the league and will likely put up big point totals.
On down the list though is a guy that is a 6’7”, 280lb giant and all he has done this season is catch touchdowns. Darren Fells is third in the NFL this season among tight ends with seven touchdowns, which is two more than superstar tight ends Travis Kelce and George Kittle.
Fells has been reliable this season, and though the Chiefs pass defense has been very good against wide receivers, they have struggled at times to guard tight ends. They allow over 11 FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends making this a solid matchup for Fells and he is priced well.
FanDuel Divisional Round Playoffs Defense/Special Teams
Chiefs ($4,200 vs HOU)
Last week I picked the Bills against the Texans and highlighted the ability of the Bills to pressure and sack Deshaun Watson. They responded by sacking the Houston quarterback seven times.
I expect a similar situation this weekend in Kansas City because the Chiefs are very good at pressuring the quarterback as they have registered 45 sacks this season. Arrowhead will be rocking, giving Chiefs defenders an even greater advantage as they will be able to get off the ball quickly against the subpar offensive line of the Texans.
The Chiefs are averaging 12.5 FanDuel points per game over their last five and they sport an attractive price this weekend.
