QB — Baker Mayfield ($7,700, CIN @ CLE, Proj. Own: 10.4%)
“The surprise team of the 2018 season has to be the Cleveland Browns, right? They have now won four of their last five games and have looked really good doing it. This week they get the Bengals and their 32nd ranked defense against the pass. The last time these two teams met, Baker Mayfield threw for over 250 yards and 4 TDs, picking apart the secondary with ease. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for WR Jarvis Landry, who only caught 3 balls for 30 yards. I expect that to change this week as Mayfield and Landry’s connection has been improving with each game. The Bengals haven’t been able to stop anyone all year long and I don’t see any reason that changes this week, so stack Mayfield and Landry on the cheap and go stock up the rest of your lineup with the more pricey studs.” — Elliott Berk.
RB — Joe Mixon ($8,200, CIN @ CLE, Proj. Own: 17.3%)
“In the last three weeks Dalvin Cook has scored his three highest point totals of the season. The skilled back is averaging 15.5 FanDuel points per game during that stretch by being involved heavily on the ground in addition to catching 16 passes. The 29th ranked rush defense of the Miami Dolphins visits on Sunday and the Vikings will likely try to establish the ground game early to take some pressure off of struggling quarterback, Kirk Cousins. Cook should be involved throughout the game, getting 15+ touches to help produce a solid fantasy stat line.” — Joshua Mutters.
RB — Jaylen Samuels — ($6,700, PIT @ NO, Proj. Own: N/A)
“The Pittsburgh Steelers officially ruled James Conner (knee) out for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. There was some hope last week that Conner would be ready to return for Week 16 but he was unable to practice all week and, as a result, will miss his third straight game. With Conner out at least another week, rookie Jaylen Samuels will carry the load again on Sunday. While the Saints represent a tough matchup for running backs, Samuels’ skills in the passing game will keep him on the radar as an RB2 for the fantasy championship round.” — RotoBaller
WR — DeAndre Hopkins — ($8,900, HOU @ PHI, Proj. Own: 44.5%)
“The Houston Texans have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the past couple of months and it all starts with two players: Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. This duo has torched every defense it’s faced with Watson scoring over 18 points in 4 straight games (3 of those going over 20) while Hopkins has scored at least double digits every game this season, with his best performance coming last week scoring a whopping 39 fantasy points! If all that wasn’t enough to convince you to play these guys then how about this: they face the Eagles and their the 31st ranked pass defense. The Eagles secondary has been decimated by injuries and I expect the Texans to take advantage of that in a big way. Look for Watson to have a monster game as he throws over and over to his star receiver.” — Elliott Berk.
WR — Amari Cooper — ($7,000, TB @ DAL, Proj. Own: 24.6%)
“The Cowboys were completely shut out by the Colts in Week 15, and I like Amari Cooper to bounce back in a big way this week. Tampa’s top cornerback is Brent Grimes, and he is only targeted on 17%. But when targeted he is allowing 12.8 yards per reception and allows a catch rate of 73.5%, so Cooper should be given the space he needs to catch and then gain yards after the catch. Put Cooper in your top 10 this week.” — Colin McDonnell
WR — Jarvis Landry — ($6,300, CIN @ CLE, Proj. Own: 20.8%)
See Baker Mayfield.
TE — Eric Ebron — ($6,100, NYG @ IND, Proj. Own: 34.4%)
“Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron (quadriceps) and wide receiver Dontrelle Inman (shoulder) both returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. Both players should play in a must-win game against the Giants this weekend. Despite Ebron’s dud against the Cowboys in Week 15, he remains one of the more attractive fantasy tight ends with 12 touchdowns on the season. Inman is seldomly targeted in the Colts offense and has no business being in starting lineups.” — Rotoballer
FLEX — Elijah McGuire ($5,700, GB @ NYJ, Proj. Own: 9.7%)
“It’s tough to imagine yourself in a position where you are going for a title and are seriously considering starting Elijah McGuire. I see a dream like sequence: McGuire driving your new Maserati off a cliff, Larry Wildman style, when confronted with this desperate roster play. Absolute scary stuff! The reality is, though, he’s got a great matchup against a Green Bay defense that has essentially rolled over and died in the last two weeks. If you are looking for a volume play at the flex and absolutely love taking a wild chance that could pay off, you might have a winning ticket in McGuire.” — Matthew J. Jillson
DEF — Falcons ($3,400, ATL @ CAR, Proj. Own: 25%)
“The Falcons have produced well for FanDuel owners in recent weeks. The defense has 34 total FanDuel points in the past 3 weeks and now faces a struggling Carolina Panthers offense that is without Cam Newton. Taylor Heinicke will be making the start for the Panthers, which should allow the Falcons to focus most of their attention on Christian McCaffrey and the Panthers running game. The Falcons are a steal this week, invest accordingly. — Joshua Mutters.
