FanDuel Value Plays, NFL Week 10

This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 10, but our FanDuel value plays will give you the best bang for your buck.

Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.

With that being said, these are my FanDuel value plays for Week 10.

QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick ($7,600, WAS @ TB)

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the first name on my list of picks for the second consecutive week.  If his price tag continues to stay this low, why wouldn’t he be?  Fitzpatrick ranks second among all quarterbacks at 25+ F.P.P.G., trailing only Patrick Mahomes, yet he is priced in the middle of the pack.  He has been fantasy gold this season and that should continue this week as the Bucs host the 20^th ranked pass defense of the Washington Redskins.

Additional Value Pick: Marcus Mariota ($6,700, NE @ TEN) has finally had good showings in consecutive starts, averaging 19.5 FanDuel points in those games.  He has learned to use running back Dion Lewis in the passing game which has really opened up the offense.  The Titans will have to throw the ball to keep up with the Patriots offense on Sunday and priced at $6,700, Mariota has the potential to produce well for owners this week.

RB: David Johnson ($6,900, ARI @ KC)

I get it, the Cardinals offense is bad and David Johnson has certainly not blown anyone away with his numbers this year but he has been consistent.  He has scored double digit FanDuel points in six of eight games and is averaging just over 13 F.P.P.G. for the year.  He is still the best offensive player on the team and they will need to heavily involve him on the ground and through the air at Arrowhead against the 31^st ranked Chiefs defense on Sunday.  He should net close to 20 touches and a trip to the endzone is likely.

RB: Aaron Jones ($6,500, MIA @ GB)

Aaron Jones has finally set himself apart as the lead back in Green Bay as he is averaging 6+ yards per carry.  A consistent running game could prove to be just what the Packers offense needs as they have struggled to protect Aaron Rodgers in the passing game.  At Lambeau Field this week against the 28^th ranked run defense of the Miami Dolphins would be the perfect time and place to lean on Jones.  I fully expect the Packers to take the lead early and feed him the ball consistently throughout, giving him ample opportunities to rack up yardage and scores.

Additional Value Pick: Dion Lewis ($5,800 NE @ TEN) is averaging over 19 F.P.P.G. over the last two weeks.  It seems as though the Titans coaching staff has seen how valuable a dynamic running back like Lewis is and they are finding ways to utilize him.  This week the New England Patriots come to town and he will have a little extra motivation to keep putting up those numbers against his former team.  He should be heavily involved both rushing and receiving, which could yield big points for a small price tag.

WR: Cooper Kupp ($6,500, SEA @ LAR)

Cooper Kupp has produced consistently all season.  His only poor showing of the season came against the Broncos, when he had to be carted off the field due to a knee injury following a horse collar tackle.  He returned last week to catch five passes for 89 yards and a TD.  This week the Rams will host the Seahawks, a team that saw Kupp catch six passes for 90 yards and a TD when they played one month ago.  Kupp should again be a focal point in the offense and do what he does: produce solid fantasy numbers.

WR: Larry Fitzgerald ($5,800, ARI @ KC)

Larry Fitzgerald is coming off of his best performance of the season where he caught eight passes for 102 yards and a score.  The last three games have been his most productive stretch of the season while seeing 28 targets over that stretch.  He and the Cardinals travel to Kansas City to try and keep pace with the Chiefs this week, so the high number of targets should continue.  The Chiefs pass defense is improving but has struggled throughout the season, meaning that Fitzgerald could have another big day while only costing $5,800.

Additional Value Pick: Marques Valdes-Scantling ($5,400, MIA @ GB) will maintain his role in the Packers offense moving forward with the placement of Geronimo Allison on IR.  Valdes-Scantling has scored double digit fantasy points in each of the last four weeks while either surpassing 100 yards or catching a TD in each of those games.  He has great athleticism and speed and has already earned the trust of Aaron Rodgers, making him a great value at $5,400.

TE: Jack Doyle ($5,600, JAC @ IND)

Jack Doyle made a very successful return in week 8 from a hip injury that had kept him inactive since Week 2.  The Colts tight end caught six of seven targets for 70 yards and a TD, giving him 16 FanDuel points on the day.  He has since had more time to recover with the bye week and should be ready to produce as Andrew Luck’s safety valve and red zone target against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Additional Value Pick: David Njoku ($5,400, ATL @ CLE) returned to catch four passes for 53 yards in Week 9 after his zero-catch performance in Week 8.  This week he faces a Falcons defense that has struggled all year to slow down opposing pass catchers in what could be a high scoring affair.

DEF: Rams ($3,900 vs SEA)

The Rams defense hasn’t quite lived up to the “Dream Team” hype that came with all of their new acquisitions.  They are nonetheless a very talented team that hosts the 26^th ranked offense of the Seattle Seahawks this week.  Russell Wilson has been sacked 25 times this season, which is fourth most in the league.  I expect the talented front of the Rams to pressure him often throughout the game resulting in sacks, turnovers, and FanDuel points.

Additional Value Pick: Bills ($3,700 @NYJ) This week, the Bills make the quick jaunt to East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the division rival Jets.  There are some question marks as to which quarterback will be starting for both teams, but signs point to backup quarterback Josh McCown being under center for the Jets.  The Bills defense has played admirably well this season while having to deal with the ineptitude of the offense.  The offense will improve if Josh Allen is able to return, which would help the defense deal with the 29^th ranked offense of the Jets.
