FanDuel Week 10 Value Picks: Devin Singletary, Ryan Tannehill, and Zach Pascal are among this week’s smart FanDuel plays that won’t break the bank.
The FanDuel Dollar Menu provides you with a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast-food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Week 10 Value Picks
QB: Ryan Tannehill ($7,200 KC @ TEN)
Since becoming the starter in week seven, Ryan Tannehill has averaged 21.5 FanDuel points per game, which makes him the ninth-best during that time. He has thrown for over 300 yards in two of those games and he now gets to face the Kansas City Chiefs, who are allowing the 23rd most FanDuel points to quarterbacks on the season. Tannehill currently leads the league with his 71.8% completion rate and is tied for 10th with a quarterback rating of 99.7. The former number eight overall pick is priced well and has played solid football this season.
Additional Value Pick: Sam Darnold ($7,200, NYG @ NYJ) has played very poorly since returning from illness. As bad as he has been, he has still averaged 14.5 FanDuel points in the last two weeks. I expect a bounce-back performance from Darnold this week at home against the 28th ranked defense of the Giants. The Giants are allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 69.3% of their passes for 264 yards per game, making this an enticing matchup for Darnold.
RB: David Montgomery ($6,400, DET @ CHI)
After receiving only four touches in Week 7, David Montgomery has been the focal point of the Bears offense. The rookie running back has had the two best games of his young career, turning 48 touches into 223 total yards and three touchdowns. He now faces the league’s 31st ranked defense as the Detroit Lions visit Soldier Field on Sunday. The Lions giving up over 29 FanDuel points per game to running backs, which is more than any other team. The Bears will likely feed Montgomery the ball again, making him a great play for $6,400.
RB: Devin Singletary ($6,700, BUF @ CLE)
Devin Singletary is healthy and finally received the lion’s share of touches for the Bills in week nine. He responded with 140 total yards and a touchdown on 23 touches. His playmaking abilities have been on display when he has gotten opportunities and that should continue this week as he visits the Cleveland Browns and their 30th ranked run defense. The Browns allowed Philip Lindsay to rack up 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries last week and are allowing 141 rushing yards per game. Singletary is a good value this week and he should be given ample opportunities to exploit this poor run defense.
Additional Value Pick: Kalen Ballage ($4,600, MIA @ IND) has not done much with his limited opportunities this season. This week he will likely be given a much larger load now that Kenyan Drake is in Arizona and Mark Walton is set to serve a four-game suspension. The Colts are allowing 109 yards per game on the ground and the Dolphins offense has shown signs of life with Ryan Fitzpatrick behind center. Ballage is priced incredibly low and has a shot at 50+ yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
WR: Zach Pascal ($6,400, MIA @ IND)
Zach Pascal has shown this season that he can be an above-average NFL receiver. The second-year pass-catcher has had two very good outings in the last three weeks. In week seven, he caught six passes for 106 yards and two scores and followed that up two weeks later with five catches for 76 yards and a touchdown. Week 10 brings the Miami Dolphins and their 29th ranked defense to town. Opposing receivers are currently scoring over 32 FanDuel points per game against the Dolphins. Pascal should produce well as he figures to get the largest share of targets for the Colts this week with T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell out with injuries.
WR: Christian Kirk ($5,700, ARI @ TB)
Christian Kirk is healthy for the first time in a long time and is a prime candidate for a breakout game against the atrocious pass defense of the Buccaneers. The Bucs allow over 293 yards per game in the air and have allowed 19 receiving touchdowns on the season. In fact, the Bucs defense is currently rated last in FanDuel points allowed to wide receivers at almost 38 per game. With their running backs dinged up, I expect the Cardinals to attack the vulnerable Bucs defense through the air, meaning a big game for the low-priced Kirk.
Additional Value Pick: DeVante Parker ($5,800, MIA @ IND) is the de facto number one receiver in Miami after the Kenny Stills trade and the injury to Preston Williams. Parker has played surprisingly well, catching a touchdown in four of his last five games. He will likely see an increase in targets going forward, making him a smart investment.
TE: Chris Herndon ($5,000, NYG @ NYJ)
After a strong rookie campaign then a suspension and injury to start his second season, Chris Herndon looks primed to make his long-awaited season debut on Sunday against the Giants. The athletic tight end should help out the Jets offense tremendously and offers much more upside than Ryan Griffin, who actually has over 30 FanDuel points in the past two weeks. Expect Darnold to look Herndon’s way early and often in this contest against the Giants leaky secondary that just allowed Jason Witten to catch eight passes in week nine. Invest in Herndon now before his price goes up.
Additional Value Pick: O.J. Howard ($5,000 ARI @ TB) returns from injury just in time to face the NFL’s worst defense against opposing tight ends. Howard has struggled this season but now faces a Cardinals defense that is allowing over 18.5 FanDuel points per game to tight ends. Howard’s price is extremely attractive this week and if he is going to turn this season around, this is the week that it will happen.
DEF: Browns ($3,500 vs BUF)
I picked the Browns to have a big game last week against the Broncos and was somewhat let down with their performance, as they allowed 24 points and only registered three sacks and one fumble recovery. I have the Browns back again this week due to their low price and my expectation that they can pressure Josh Allen. The Browns have registered 25 sacks on the season and the Bills have allowed 22 sacks, making the Browns a solid option for an incredible price.
Additional Value Pick: Jets ($3,900 vs NYG) The Jets defense performed very well early in the season, scoring 18 FanDuel points in week one against the Bills and 16 against the Patriots in Week 3. Team defenses have averaged 17.75 FanDuel points against the Giants over the past four weeks, which makes this a good game for the Jets defense to get back on track.
