FanDuel Week 6 Value Plays This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 6, but those who will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
With that being said, these are my FanDuel Week 6 value plays.
QB: Jameis Winston ($7,400, TB @ ATL)
Jameis Winston is making his first start of the season and there is no other defense I would currently want to do that against than the Atlanta Falcons. Over the last three weeks, the Falcons’ opponents have averaged over 40 points per game with much of the damage done by opposing QBs. Those three quarterbacks have averaged 29+ FanDuel points and have all passed for 3 TDs, with Drew Brees adding two more on the ground. Winston has a plethora of weapons at his disposal with Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, Chris Godwin and others. I expect Winston to air it out, resulting in great fantasy production.
Additional Value Pick: Andy Dalton ($7,500, PIT @ CIN) is off to a great start this season and is averaging 20+ F.P.P.G. This week he gets the Steelers at home in what could potentially be a high-scoring affair.
RB: Chris Carson ($6,400, SEA @ OAK, in London)
Chris Carson is coming off of back-to-back 100+ yard games in which he has totaled 54 touches. He now faces the 28th ranked rush defense of the Oakland Raiders. In recent weeks, the Raiders have surrendered 32+ FanDuel points to Chargers RBs after allowing Nick Chubb to score an absurd 22.5 FanDuel Points on just 3 carries. The Seahawks could easily find themselves ahead in this game, ensuring that Carson gets another large share of work.
RB: Jordan Howard ($6,200, CHI @ MIA)
While Mitchell Trubisky and the rest of the Chicago Bears offense had a Week 5 to remember, Jordan Howard had a week that he might like to forget. Howard had 11 carries for 25 yards and 2.5 FanDuel points while he saw Tarik Cohen rack up 20 touches, resulting in 174 total yards and a TD for 26+ FanDuel points. I look for the offense to shift back toward using Howard this week for 18-20 touches against the 20th ranked rush defense of the Miami Dolphins.
Additional Value Pick: Isaiah Crowell ($6,700 IND @ NYJ) rumbled to a career day against the Broncos in Week 5 when he rushed for 219 yards and a score. In the two Jets wins this season, Crowell has 321 yards and 3 TDs. The Jets should try to involve him as much as possible to take the pressure off rookie QB Sam Darnold and keep the ball away from Andrew Luck.
WR: John Brown ($6,300, BAL @ TEN)
John Brown is getting tons of targets and for a WR in the NFL that equals opportunity. Brown currently has 44 targets through the first 5 games of the season, which puts him ahead of guys like A.J. Green, Mike Evans, and Tyreek Hill. Couple all of the opportunities with Brown’s world class speed and there is potential for huge numbers. Brown has scored 11+ FanDuel points in 4 of his 5 games, showing consistency to go along with a high ceiling. Week 6 against the Titans should be no different, making Brown a solid option at $6,300.
WR: Tyler Boyd ($6,300, PIT @ CIN)
Tyler Boyd cooled off a bit last week after being on fire for three consecutive games. This week his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers come to visit Cincinnati in what is always an interesting game. Boyd is having quite a year thus far and is doing his best to keep up with his teammate, the elite WR A.J. Green. Boyd has 30 catches on 43 targets for 393 yards, while Green has 27 catches on 43 targets for 409 yards. Boyd is averaging exactly 3 F.P.P.G. less than Green but at $2,500 less, he is the Bengals WR to own this week.
Additional Value Pick: Quincy Enunwa ($5,800, IND @ NYJ) is looking to bounce back after a zero-catch performance in Week 5 and I fully expect him to do that with a solid outing. Enunwa has shown great chemistry with Sam Darnold this season which should be back on display in Week 6 against the Colts 28th ranked pass defense.
TE: Cameron Brate ($4,500, TB @ ATL)
O.J. Howard is potentially out this week with an MCL sprain which opens the door for the talented Cameron Brate to command the majority of the TE targets for the Bucs. Brate has had 3 catches and a TD in each of the last 2 games for double digit FanDuel points. If Howard is ultimately ruled out, that number would likely increase against a struggling Atlanta defense.
Additional Value Pick: Nick Vannett ($4,900, SEA @ OAK) is now getting the lion’s share of snaps and targets at TE for a Seahawks offense that saw Will Dissly produce early before being injured. Vannett had 3 catches for 43 yards against a stout Rams defense in Week 5 and he now faces a generous Raiders defense in Week 6.
DEF: Bears ($4,500 @ MIA)
The Bears have the highest-scoring FanDuel defense in the league and it isn’t really even close. They are averaging 14.5 FPPG with the Jets in second at 10.6 FPPG. The Bears should continue their run of dominance this week as they travel to take on the 30th ranked offense of the Miami Dolphins. There are four defenses with higher salaries, making the Bears a solid value.
Additional Value Pick: MIA ($3,500 vs CHI) The Dolphins are averaging just a clip under 10 F.P.P.G. and have allowed 20 points or less to all offenses that don’t have Tom Brady behind center. If you are looking for a defense with a small price tag, consider the Dolphins as they have scored 13 FanDuel points in three of their games this season.
