Week 11 of the 2018 NFL season is in the books, and that means it’s time to look at waiver wire pickups and free agent adds for Week 12. The percentages next to a player’s name explain what percentage of an FAAB budget should go toward that player on a waiver claim in a 12-team PPR format.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson (BAL, 3-5%)
This one needs an asterisk. We don’t know if Joe Flacco will be healthy and we don’t know who will be the starter if he is, but rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson is worth an add if he is the Ravens’ starter this weekend. Jackson totaled more than 100 yards on the ground on 27 carries – the most ever by a quarterback in the modern era. Jackson was a startable option in fantasy despite not scoring a touchdown. His rushing upside makes him an immediate QB1 option if he is the long-term starter for Baltimore.

Running Backs
Gus Edwards (BAL, 8-10%)
Gus Edwards came out of nowhere this week to run for 115 yards on 17 carries. Alex Collins and Javorius Allen had been the lead backs all season long for Baltimore, so it’s smart to be cautious in case Edwards is a one-week wonder. Still, this kind of volume warrants an add, but I’d wait a wait before plugging him into your starting lineup.
Josh Adams (PHI, 8-10%)
Josh Adams’ snap count has risen in four consecutive weeks, culminating with him playing 54.9% of snaps against New Orleans. Game script prevented him from getting too many carries, but he seems to have overtaken Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement for the RB1 role in Philadelphia.
Wide Receivers
Josh Reynolds (LAR, 14-16%)
With Cooper Kupp’s injury, Josh Reynolds steps into a role as the Rams third receiver, and he dazzled in that role on Monday night against Kansas City. Reynolds played 97.5% of snaps in Week 11, hauling in six of eight targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. The Rams are one of the most potent offenses in the league and they can feed all three wide receivers given their usage of three wide receiver sets.
D.J. Moore (CAR, 12-14%)
Rookie wideout DJ Moore turned eight targets into 157 yards and a score on Sunday against Detroit. Moore had an elite College Dominator rating and breakout age, two stats which RotoViz has proven to be correlated to NFL production. If he can overtake Devin Funchess as the No. 1 wideout in Carolina, he has WR2 potential, although there is a lot of target competition there between the top two wideouts, Greg Olsen, and Christian McCaffrey.
Tre’Quan Smith (NO, 8-10%)
Only one week removed from a 0-0-0 performance, Tre’Quan Smith reeled in ten balls for 157 yards and a touchdown. Drew Brees’ WR2 has typically been a low-end WR3, so don’t go crazy spending on Smith – especially given how many targets Michael Thomas gets – but he’s worth an add for teams looking for wide receivers.
Tight Ends
Cameron Brate (TB, 12-14%)
O.J. Howard has been placed on Injured Reserve, making Cameron Brate an immediate mid-high end TE1. Consider him a fringe top 6 option at a shallow position moving forward.
