Week 11 Streaming QBs and DSTs: Two of the biggest positions for streaming in fantasy are quarterback and defense. Here in this article, we will break down the best options at quarterback and defense. We hope to steer fantasy managers into decisions that create wins. This article will focus mostly on players less than 50-percent rostered.

Week 11 Streaming QBs

Daniel Jones (@TB) – MNF

Daniel Jones is never the sexiest pick, but he can normally get you there and possesses some upside as well.

Tampa Bay is coming into this game fresh off of two consecutive losses, largely because their defense has not played up to par. The Bucs allow the 10th-most FPPG to opposing quarterbacks at a rate of 19.9. Tampa also allows 254.2 passing yards per game and that is also the 10th-most in the NFL.

Jones can get it done in a multitude of ways, but the usage of his legs seems to be the most important if you want to unlock a ceiling game. I think Jones will have to play very well to keep up with the offense on the other side of the ball. Plus this could be the first week Jones has all his weapons, which has yet to happen surprisingly. 

Jones is available in 70-percent of ESPN leagues heading into Week 11.

Justin Fields (vs BAL)

Justin Fields has recently been trending towards being a streaming candidate. In Week 11 against the Ravens, I don’t see any reason he cannot be utilized. 

The Ravens’ defense has been awful over their last three games. In that stretch of three games, they have allowed an average of 31 points per game, even finding themselves losing to the Dolphins. 

There is plenty of room for Fields to work against this defense as Baltimore allows an average of 18.5-FPPG to opposing quarterbacks. Baltimore has also allowed 283.3 passing yards per game, and that is a league-worst.

For Fields, he finally seems to be relying on his legs more. In the last four games, he reached 38-plus rushing yards and even reached 103 rushing yards in a single contest. Think of it this way: 40 rushing yards are four fantasy points and that is a free passing touchdown in fantasy, which certainly boosts Fields’ floor. 

We have seen a ceiling game from fields reach 27-fantasy points. Against Baltimore, he does possess 20-fantasy point upside and he is available in 82-percent of ESPN leagues.

Tua Tagovailoa (@NYJ)

Allowing 18.8-FPPG to opposing quarterbacks are the New York Jets. The Jets have been getting torched by opposing quarterbacks all season, allowing the second-most passing yards per game for the season, and the most passing yards allowed in the last three games. 

The Jets have also given the ball away a league-most 22 times. When this happens, opposing offenses bet more opportunities to score on shorter fields, which improves fantasy output. 

Tagovailoa is an interesting fantasy player: on one hand, you have a player that can get it done against a bad team but on the other hand, he can absolutely ruin your week. Week 11 seems like a week that will be favorable towards Tagovailoa. Early reports indicate there is no reason to worry about his injury status heading into this contest. 

Tagovailoa has reached 23 and 26 fantasy points prior to his injury, and he should be able to get at least two touchdowns against this flat Jets team. 

Tagovailoa is available in 64-percent of ESPN leagues heading into waivers.

Tennessee Titans DST (vs HOU)

The Titans find themselves at home against Houston and it could be the best play of the week. Facing off against Houston should always light your eyes up for D/STs. 

Houston has committed 17 turnovers in the 2021 season and only three teams have committed more turnovers. It is no surprise to see 17 turnovers from a team that has allowed 26 sacks, which is the eighth-most in the league. With Tennessee being a top-four pass-rush defense, it could get ugly here for the Texans.

The Titans have been playing elite fantasy defense since Week 7. Since then, Tennessee has averaged 11.75-FPPG, scoring 12-plus fantasy points in three of their last four contests. Further, since Week 7 they have logged 14 total sacks, five interceptions, and four fumble recoveries.

Tennessee seems to be coming into this contest against Houston with a lot of momentum. The Titans are available in 54-percent of ESPN leagues heading into waivers.

Cleveland Browns DST (vs DET)

Facing off against Detroit has been advantageous for D/STs in 2021. The Lions allow 8.1-fantasy points to opposing D/STs which is the eighth-most in the NFL. 

Additionally, Detroit typically allows defenses to get home to the quarterback. The Lions have allowed 27 sacks this season and that is the seventh-highest. This pairs very well with the Browns since they are tied for a league-leading 29 sacks.

With defensive pressure comes fantasy points, but also turnovers, and the Lions quarterback, Jared Goff, can sometimes be too friendly in the turnover department. Goff is currently averaging a little over one turnover per contest.

The Browns look set up to help fantasy managers in Week 11. You can find them on waivers in 43-percent of ESPN leagues heading into waivers.

Carolina Panthers DST (vs WSH)

Ranked as the fourth-best fantasy defense overall is the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers find themselves facing off against the Washington Football Team and they have been friendly to opposing defenses, to the tune of allowing an average of 8.4-FPPG to opposing defenses.

Washington is currently the seventh-most turnover-prone team in the NFL. This is largely attributed to their starting quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, who currently has 10 turnovers on the season. With Carolina’s ability to pressure the quarterback, there could be more turnovers here for Heinicke.

While the Panthers are not world-beaters, they certainly could have a more competent quarterback holding onto the reins with Cam Newton. This helps because Carolina has been an elite defense even with poor quarterback play that led to turnovers and quick three-and-outs. This potential upgrade at quarterback could give them additional juice and keep their legs fresh against the Football Team in Week 11.
