Tom Brady is back at the Buccaneers facilities and is expected to practice today, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine. Brady had taken a leave of absence for personal reasons that head coach Todd Bowles said was pre-planned.
Fantasy Impact: The only real concern for fantasy managers regarding Brady’s brief absence was whether or not it was related to his brief retirement earlier this offseason. Once Bowles said the situation was pre-planned, the only questions were how much time he would miss and if he would be back with enough time to prepare for Week 1. As a 20-year veteran coming off a season in which he threw for 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, Brady likely doesn’t need much ramp-up time in order to be ready for the season. With an ADP of QB10 and ECR of QB8, the veteran signal-caller once again feels like a bargain despite his advanced age.
